Ownership Guarantee – Your Disk is Yours

Every BlobOff user is the legal owner of their hard drive:

  • Each disk is delivered with a certificate of ownership, including its unique serial number.
  • Ownership is registered and validated via an official bailiff’s office.
  • Your disk is legally insaisissable in case of financial difficulties at BlobOff.

In the extreme scenario where BlobOff would stop its activities, your disk would be returned to you via the bailiff.

And if your subscription is not continued, we automatically send your disk back to you – no forms, no bureaucracy.

It’s human. It’s fair.

This is our absolute guarantee: your files are not just stored with us – they are your property.

Legal Protection Against Seizure

Because disks are individually owned by users, not by BlobOff:

  • A judge cannot order a collective seizure of all disks.
  • Each disk would require a separate legal procedure, specifically targeting the individual owner.
  • This makes mass seizures impossible in practice.

And even if a disk were seized in a legal investigation:

  • BlobOff does not hold the encryption keys.
  • Without the user’s cooperation, the data remains unreadable – just encrypted blocks.
  • Combined with Deep Offline mode, this ensures maximum protection of your files.
